HISTORY & ORIGINS
Pedro Alexandre da Silva
LINEAGE: Mitsuyo Maeda → Luis França → Oswaldo Fadda → Monir Salomão → Juarez Soares

EARLY YEARS
Pedro Alexandre da Silva was born in Araruama, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on June 21, 1989.
His journey in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu began at the age of nine, in 1998, at the traditional
Araruama Jiu-Jitsu academy under the direct guidance of Master Juarez Soares — a representative
of one of the most classical and respected lineages in the history of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
From an early age, he displayed intense energy, strong personality, and natural restlessness.
Jiu-Jitsu did not simply channel that energy — it shaped his character, discipline, respect,
and sense of responsibility. These principles became the foundation of his development both
on and off the mats.
FORMATION & COMPETITIVE FOUNDATION
During his childhood, he progressed through the traditional belt system of that era — a
period when youth divisions were more restricted and highly demanding. He earned the
yellow belt, followed by yellow with orange stripe, and later the orange belt.
The progression was rigorous, and competitive opportunities were limited, making each
achievement profoundly meaningful.
At fifteen, he was already competing in the blue belt division among juveniles and was
officially promoted to blue belt at sixteen. From early on, his path was marked by
competitiveness, technical maturity, and consistency.
ACADEMIC & TECHNICAL EXPANSION
In 2008, he was accepted into the Mechanical Engineering program at Universidade Gama Filho.
By recommendation and with the express authorization of his professor Juarez, he joined
the Gama Filho team under the guidance of Master Júlio César.
Throughout this period, he was promoted to purple belt and later to brown belt — always
maintaining the bond, respect, and consent of Master Juarez Soares.
Simultaneously, he began his university wrestling career at Gama Filho, competing for
several years and significantly expanding his technical foundation in grappling,
body control, takedowns, and combat strategy.
BLACK BELT & CONSOLIDATION
He graduated as a Mechanical Engineer in 2012 and completed his postgraduate studies
in 2013. Even while balancing academic and professional responsibilities, he remained
active in high-level training and competition.
In 2015, he was awarded his black belt by Master Juarez Soares, officially consolidating
his position within the lineage that had shaped him since childhood.
PURPOSE & LEGACY
More than titles and belt promotions, his journey is guided by a clear purpose: to preserve the essence of the lineage that formed him, elevate the technical standards of the next generation, and contribute to the structured growth of Jiu-Jitsu as both a sport and a philosophy of life.
His mission goes beyond competition — it is to develop disciplined athletes, principled individuals, and professionals prepared to succeed both on and off the mats. Rooted in tradition and driven by strategic vision, Pedro Alexandre builds his legacy daily through excellence, loyalty, honor, and continuous evolution.
Pedro Alexandre represents more than titles; he represents consistency, loyalty, credibility, and historical continuity.
